Men's Group Starting Soon!
Are you a male who has experienced sexual abuse? Healing from a history of sexual abuse (SA) can be
particularly lonely and isolating for men. If you would like to talk with a group of 5-8 other men who
have a similar history, please consider attending this 8 week support group.

The group will be facilitated by Sue Gill, a psychologist with experience working with male SA
survivors. We will decide together on specific topics for the group, with a general focus on finding ways
to feel less "alone" through the healing process. We will not be working through specific abuse
experiences in the group, as that is usually more appropriate work for individual therapy.

You are ideal for the group if you are an adult male who has experienced some type of SA in your life -
including clergy abuse, caretaker or friend abuse in your childhood, or assault as an adult. You should
also be able to tolerate some discussion of this topic, and feel like your life is reasonably stable.
Individual therapy might be more appropriate if you are struggling with basic functioning in life or in
serious crisis.

If you are interested in this group, please take the following steps:

- Talk with your therapist about the group if you are in individual therapy
- Call or email me ASAP so that I can answer any of your questions and so that we can decide together
if this group sounds right for you  (suegill@madisontherapy.com  608-250-2492)
